Black Fungus and Bad Odor

About 3 months after I adopted my Corgi-Chihuahua mix, Scully, I noticed his ears were bright red so I took him to the vet. I was told he had a terrible ear infection and had had it for about 6 months. The animal shelter and vet who saw him, missed it. He said it could've ended up in cancer. So Scully began his on/off again relationship with antibiotics.

He developed a terrible odor and began licking his paws and larer, his skin. Afterwards came a black fungus on his skin. a new vet told me it was allergies, gave me more antibiotics and allergy pills for Scully. The odor subsided, but never left. The black fungus subsided a little but never left and then flared up. I changed his food several times, changed laundry detergents and his shampoos. Nothing soothed his inflamed, painful, stinky skin. Then...even worse, his fur began to fall out and he ended up on Prednisone several times- against my wishes...bit I didn't know what else to do.

I knew in my heart the vets were missing something and I searched online and found something about black fungus actually being Candida- an overgrowth of bad yeast that was so bad, it came out as black fungus because the body was overloaded with it.
